Siam Fox¹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: W Buick| T: R Hannon| OR: 87| D

11/4

Much improved when scoring easily in 8.3f handicap at Nottingham 11 days ago. That race fell apart to a degree though, so an 8lb rise may leave him vulnerable.

Form: 2239-61

(2)

Headingley²²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: B A Curtis| T: C & M Johnston| OR: 86| D

3/1

Front-running dual novice winner who improved again when second on 1m Goodwood handicap debut in April. Unable to handle conditions when well held at Haydock last time, so worth another chance.

Form: 21-120

(6)

Zagato^p1³⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: R Havlin| T: J & T Gosden| OR: 82

4/1

Left debut form behind when narrowly denied at Chelmsford (10f) in November, but fooled tamely on last month's turf debut at Newbury, so has a bit to prove in first-time cheekpieces on handicap bow.

Form: 52-6

(1)

Ford Madox Brown²³

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: D Tudhope| T: D O'Meara| OR: 77| D

9/1

Left debut form well behind to get off the mark at the second attempt in 1m AW novice at Lingfield in December. Decent third under a penalty at Thirsk on return but well held at Haydock last time.

Form: 91-37

(4)

Jebel Dukhan^p1³⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: L Morris| T: Sir Mark Prescott| OR: 77

7/2

Well-made colt in good hands and has shown clear promise on all 3 starts to date, though again carried his head a shade awkwardly at Chelmsford last time. Cheekpieces go on for handicap debut.

Form: 52-3

(5)

Invincibly^b1,t¹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: P Mulrennan| T: K R Burke| OR: 76

10/1

Got firmly back on track returning to turf when runner-up at Redcar in April, but wasn't in the same form when 6½ lengths fourth of 8 to Siam Fox at Nottingham latest. Blinkers on for 1st time.

Form: 24-4424

Forecasts

Siam Fox (11/4), Headingley (3/1), Jebel Dukhan (7/2), Zagato (4/1), Ford Madox Brown (9/1), Invincibly (10/1)

HEADINGLEY had been going the right way prior to getting stuck in the mud at Haydock last time, so he has to be worth another chance to pick up the progressive thread now back under less testing conditions. Jebel Dukan is a well-made colt in excellent hands, so is not one to write off now switching to handicap company fitted with first-time cheekpieces.
