Dual 20f hurdles winner for Dan Skelton earlier in career who arrives having run respectably when second of 9 over fences at Uttoxeter (3m) last month. Drop in trip a plus on that evidence and claims.

Hurdles/chase winner who proved easy to back and shaped as if needing the run on return from 8 months off at Warwick (3m) in April. Entitled to be sharper but yet to win from mark this high.

Ran best race for some time when 7.5 lengths second of 9 at Uttoxeter (3m) in April but he could only match that level when fifth of 7 at Market Rasen (27.5f) next time. Still, his mark is easing.

Fairly useful chaser at his best but he was well below his best in handful of starts last term. Has since undergone wind surgery and assessor has afforded him a chance. Tongue tied.

Fair winning chaser in 2019 but only seen in action 3 times since, the way she folded late on at Warwick (3m) in April having travelled well rather disconcerting. 3 lb lower now.

Consistent sort who landed a Musselburgh handicap chase and Newcastle jumpers bumper during the winter. Excuses when pulled up on return at Perth in May and return to less testing ground a plus.

Temperamental sort who continues to fall in the weights without looking like taking advantage, merely closing up late when fourth in 6-runner Stratford handicap (22.5f) last month.

Modest winner at 23f over hurdles who twice went close over fences at Uttoxeter/Sedgefield last summer. Below form on return at Uttoxeter (3m) in May but he may well sharpen up for that now.

Forecasts

Brotherly Company (3/1), Lord Getaway (16/5), Renwick (7/2), West To Crossgales (6/1), Black Anthem (8/1), Mahlermade (12/1), Steel Wave (14/1), Osca Loca (18/1)

Verdict

BROTHERLY COMPANY did well upon joining Sandy Thomson last season, winning twice over fences prior to landing cramped odds in a jumpers bumper in January. He didn't have things go his way on return at Perth last month but the return to less testing ground will suit and he's selected to come out on top. Renwick and Lord Getaway can give the selection most to think about.
