Well held on last month's debut at Market Rasen (16.6f, good to soft) and will need to leave that effort well behind in order to make an impact here.

Good jumps pedigree. Ultimately disappointing when favourite for a Bangor bumper on debut in April, but better was clearly expected and a surge of improvement could be on the way.

€20,000 3-y-o. Dam, 2m hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (stays 2½m) Farceur du Large. Interesting newcomer for respected connections and the market should be revealing.

Half-brother to 10 winners, including useful hurdler Silver Jaro, stayed 2½m, and fairly useful hurdler Muthaza. Yard can certainly ready one first time out and market check strongly advised.

Has shown a fair level of ability on 2 of her 3 starts in mares' bumpers, but she looks vulnerable for win purposes.

Poor form in 3 starts for Kevin Bishop and likely booked for another struggle. First-time cheekpieces.

Showed some ability when mid-field at Taunton in October, but not in same form at Wetherby the following month and absent since.

Forecasts

Quickbuck (9/4), Zucayan (11/4), Speedy Hooves (11/4), Miss Mocktail (17/2), Guerlain Bellevue (12/1), Tiffany Rose (14/1), Owenriff Pearl (33/1)

Verdict

Fergal O'Brien has his string in good form and saddles an interesting newcomer here in ZUCAYAN, who ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper. Needless to say, he will be all the more interesting if the market speaks in his favour. Speedy Hooves is another likely-looking debutant, but Quickbuck is surely better than he showed on debut at Bangor and is feared most.

  1. ZUCAYAN (FR)
  2. QUICKBUCK (IRE)
  3. SPEEDY HOOVES
