Winner of 3 of his 7 starts over hurdles and most impressive on debut in this sphere at Aintree (2½m, good) last month. Open to improvement and looks a smart novice in the making.
|
Useful hurdler who built on his encouraging chase debut at Newbury when landing a 4-runner Ffos Las (2m, good to soft) novice. Step back up in trip no bad thing and he has to be feared.
|
Multiple hurdles winner who found just one too good in a decent beginners' chase at Kempton (20.5f, good) last time. Should give another good account of himself with cheekpieces enlisted.
|
Won 4 handicap hurdles on the bounce upon joining this yard last year and good third in a competitive race at Ascot in November. Looked rusty back from a break at Ayr and not ruled out on chase debut.

Forecasts
Captain Tom Cat (4/6), Mill Green (11/4), Golden Taipan (15/2), Yes No Maybe So (8/1)
A small but select field for this intriguing novices' chase. CAPTAIN TOM CAT jumped with aplomb when making a winning chase debut at Aintree and he will take plenty of stopping. Mill Green is greatly respected and Yes No Maybe So appeals as the type to make his mark in this sphere, but Golden Taipan is preferred for forecast purposes following his solid effort at Kempton.
- CAPTAIN TOM CAT (IRE)
- GOLDEN TAIPAN (IRE)
- MILL GREEN
