25/1

In fine form during light 2018/19, winning 2 of his 3 starts. Understandably shaped as though needing both starts upon belatedly returning this spring but remains best watched until showing more.

11/1

Won 3 small-field novice hurdles in 2019. Not straightforward, though he wasn't given a hard time returning from 5 months off in a Newton Abbot maiden chase 4 weeks back. Entitled to be sharper now.

Form: 250/33-4

Accordingtogino^p,t1⁵⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 11-9| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 124| D

4/1

Hurdles winner who has improved over fences, landing a Warwick handicap (25.5f) in November. Runner-up on 2 of 3 starts since and no reason why he won't give another good account. Tongue tie added.

Form: 1/61P22-

Landsman^t,v²⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 11-7| J: Charlie Price⁽⁵⁾| T: Tim Vaughan| OR: 122

20/1

Pretty lightly raced for present stable but highlighted he still has plenty to offer when just touched off at Ludlow (23.8f) 24 days ago, finishing well. Possibilities if arriving in same form.

Form: 323/00-2

Alminar^b,t⁴¹

14/1

Better than ever when adding to his tally at Wincanton (25f) in March. Likely to have finished in the frame but for falling 2 out at Perth (30.5f) since and undergone wind surgery subsequently.

Form: 3P3P1F-

Montanna¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-9| J: S Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR: 110| CD

5/6

Dual hurdles winner who arrives on the back of a facile C&D chase victory last month, benefiting from contested pace to score by 11 lengths. 10 lb higher now but that may not prove his limit.

Form: 6043-21

Forecasts

Montanna (5/6), Accordingtogino (4/1), Fox Pro (6/1), Sunset Showdown (11/1), Alminar (14/1), Landsman (20/1), Drumlee Sunset (25/1)

MONTANNA looked all about stamina when landing a C&D handicap chase last month, suited by the contested pace and storming clear to win by 11 lengths. However, he remains low-mileage as a chaser and the type to do better again, so he can cope with a 10-lb hike in the weights and follow up. Accordingtogino and Landsman are others fancied to feature.
