Verdict

VIVA VOCE encountered traffic problems at a crucial stage when sixth at Newcastle last week and, if things pan out more favourably here, he may well be the answer to this open-looking handicap. Martin's Brig remains a maiden following 14 attempts, but a reproduction of his latest effort at Beverley would put him in the picture, while cases can also be made for Bankawi and Stoney Lane.
