JAWWAAL stepped up on his reappearance effort when seventh in a big-field York handicap 18 days ago, and he makes plenty of appeal in this less competitive race off a 2 lb lower mark. The veteran Pettochside is clearly in good nick, but dual C&D winner Spoof and Newyorkstateofmind, who was first past the post at Bath last time, rate the main dangers.
