Verdict

The vote goes to MAJOR VALENTINE, who has gradually worked his way back to form following wind surgery and scored in good style at Windsor last month. He lost little caste in defeat at Chepstow 11 days later and remains on an attractive mark judged on past exploits. Tamaska got the job done at Thirsk recently and is greatly respected, while Thrilla In Manila is also shortlisted.
