Thirsk novice winner and placed 3 times in Group/listed company at 2 yrs, including over C&D. However, he failed to make an impact on return/handicap bow at Sandown and remains on a stiff mark.

Bagged 3 nurseries in 2020 and solid effort when 2½ lengths second to Tweet Tweet at Thirsk last month. Meets that rival on 10 lb better terms here and needs considering with the headgear refitted.

Showed plenty in 3 starts at 2 yrs and improved when opening her account in 5f Thirsk handicap on return in April. Up 10 lb for that, but she's clearly very quick and another bold show is anticipated.

Off the mark at second attempt in a Beverley novice last June prior to finishing third in listed company over this C&D. Low-key reappearance effort can be excused, but others preferred all the same.

Built on Ripon novice success when proving a length too good for Hey Mr in a C&D nursery in October. However, no match for that rival at Nottingham later that month and struggled on return at Chester.

Dual 2-y-o winner who needed the run when last of 10 in Thirsk handicap won by Tweet Tweet on return/debut for new yard. Much more like it when ¾-length second to Fighter Pilot at Nottingham since.

Signed off progressive juvenile campaign by landing a soft-ground Nottingham nursery (5f) in tidy fashion. 7 lb rise fair and there should be more to come from this well-bred colt.

Promising second on debut at Yarmouth in September prior to winning twice on the AW. Has found things tougher in 2 starts this season, though, and others make greater appeal.

Landed the odds in Southwell maiden in December (subsequently gelded) and added to that when seeing off Night On Earth in a 5-runner Nottingham handicap (5f, good to firm) last month. 5 lb rise fair.

Off the mark in a fibresand maiden in August and followed up in a Bath nursery in September. Good sixth on return at Nottingham (5f, good to firm), but will need to better that if he's to take this.

Built on debut promise when landing a 6f Wolverhampton novice in August. Signed off 2020 with solid efforts in nurseries at Ayr and Newcastle (gelded since) and drop back to 5f looks a good move.

Forecasts

Hey Mr (10/3), Tweet Tweet (10/3), Bedford Flyer (6/1), Fighter Pilot (13/2), Nomadic Empire (12/1), Kool Moe Dee (12/1), Razor Glass (14/1), Country Carnival (16/1), Ey Up It's Maggie (22/1), Boogie Time (25/1), Roman Encounter (33/1), Night On Earth (40/1), Imperium Blue (50/1)

Verdict

Cases can be made for several of these, but HEY MR appeals as the one with the greatest potential. He beat his old rival Imperium Blue in good style when landing a Nottingham nursery in October and a 5 lb rise almost certainly underestimates him. Tweet Tweet showed Bedford Flyer a clean pair of heels at Thirsk and is an obvious danger, while Fighter Pilot is also worthy of consideration.

  1. HEY MR
  2. TWEET TWEET
  3. FIGHTER PILOT (IRE)
