Useful sort who made it 2 wins from 3 starts since the turn of the year in a Chelmsford conditions' event (6f) last month. Handicapper applies more pressure but not ruled out.
Successful twice at 6f last year and far from disgraced when sixth in the Portland at Doncaster in September. Looked as good as ever when runner-up on return at Kempton (6f) and he holds claims.
Likeable type who ran well on plenty of occasions without getting his head in front last year. Likely his AW return in March was needed and better expected having been given a chance by the assessor.
Found it easier in calmer waters when cosy winner of Ripon handicap (6f) in September. Not seen to best effect on 2 of 3 starts thereafter and this small-field scenario will suit on return/yard debut.
Tasted success once from 14 starts last year but plenty of creditable efforts to his name, on both turf/AW. Should strip fitter for his Ascot return 7 days ago but his mark is about right.
Losing run is mounting up but he ended last term with a narrow defeat at Kempton and again found only one too good on return at Windsor (6f) 11 days ago. Should continue to give a good account.
Capitalised on drop in grade when successful at Bath (5f) in August. Gradually returned to form since the turn of the year, good third at Goodwood (6f) 2 weeks ago. However, this looks tougher.

Forecasts
Barbill (3/1), Beyond Equal (10/3), May Sonic (5/1), Aplomb (6/1), Major Jumbo (13/2), Typhoon Ten (15/2), Concierge (11/1)
A good quality sprint handicap despite the small field with MAJOR JUMBO fancied to build on his reappearance effort on all-weather and come out on top. He posted plenty of good efforts in stronger events last term and has very much been afforded a chance by the assessor now. Beyond Equal is in good order and feared, whilst this small-field scenario can see Aplomb go well too.
- MAJOR JUMBO
- BEYOND EQUAL
- APLOMB (IRE)
