5/2

Consistent sort who landed a Musselburgh handicap chase and Newcastle jumpers bumper during the winter. Below par last time, but he's a big player back in this sphere.

Castletown^b²⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 11-7| J: Henry Brooke| T: Miss P Robson| OR: 100| BF| CD

5/1

Placed on several occasions over fences, but fact remains that he is 0-20 in this sphere and his latest effort over hurdles at Ayr last month wasn't overly inspiring.

11/1

Three-time hurdles winner in Ireland for previous connections and hinted at a revival at Plumpton (25f, good) last time. However, he hasn't shown a great deal in 7 previous starts in this sphere.

Form: 079075-

Forecasts

Brotherly Company (5/2), Casimir Du Clos (3/1), Castletown (5/1), Methodtothemadness (8/1), Istimraar (10/1), St Lawrence Gap (11/1), Pakie's Dream (11/1), Izzy's Champion (14/1), Infinite Sun (25/1), Cool Valley (40/1)

A chance is taken on ISTIMRAAR, who chased home Diligent (dual winner again since) on his latest start in this sphere at Newcastle and is now 3 lb lower. Brotherly Company is generally consistent and rates the main danger ahead of Izzy's Champion, who continues to edge down the weights. St Lawrence Gap is also lurking on a dangerous mark, but his record over fences is hardly compelling.
