Ocean Cove^b1²⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 11-12| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| OR: 130| BF| D

15/2

Gained breakthrough chasing win on the back of a wind op at Doncaster (3m) in February. Not in same form either start since, however. Blinkers on first time.

Form: 6P5172-

Theligny^t⁷⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 11-11| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR: 129| CD

18/1

C&D winner early last year but lightly raced and largely disappointing since.

Form: 281/036-

Landofsmiles^p¹⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-8| J: James Bowen| T: P & M Bowen| OR: 126| CD

6/4

Completed hat-trick in 8-runner handicap chase at Perth (23.8f, good to soft) 19 days ago. 6 lb higher now but looks the one to beat nonetheless.

Form: 624111-

Shantou Village^p,t⁴⁴

Age: 11| Weight: 11-7| J: T Scudamore| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 125| D

16/1

Not the force of old but showed he still has something to offer when fourth at Chepstow (23.6f) in October. Been disappointing since but this easier grade could spark a return to form.

Form: 54U8U5-

Gwencily Berbas²²⁷

Age: 10| Weight: 11-4| J: Fergus Gillard⁽⁵⁾| T: D Pipe| OR: 122WS

15/2

Not scored since 2017 and well held on final start for previous yard in Ireland. Market may provide best guide to expectations on debut for new connections here. Had wind operation.

Form: BP9/397-

Minella Bobo^p,t1⁴⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: S Bowen| T: Miss R Curtis| OR: 120| BF| D

7/2

Point/hurdle winner who got back on track when making all in 3m1f Hereford handicap chase in February. Respectable fifth since and should be in the mix again. Tongue strap on first time.

Form: 1/77P15-

Looks Like Power⁵⁷

Age: 11| Weight: 11-2| J: Lorcan Williams⁽³⁾| T: Mrs D A Hamer| OR: 120| C| D

12/1

Struck for the first time since 2018 when making all over hurdles at Exeter in February. However, tame effort at Warwick since and he's opposable back over fences.

Form: 7P4318-

Holdbacktheriver⁴²

Age: 9| Weight: 10-12| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR: 116| D

16/1

Chepstow winner in 2019/2020 but just the one decent effort last term and makes limited appeal.

Form: 1/25FP5-

Forecasts

Landofsmiles (6/4), Minella Bobo (7/2), Gwencily Berbas (15/2), Ocean Cove (15/2), Looks Like Power (12/1), Aaron Lad (12/1), Holdbacktheriver (16/1), Shantou Village (16/1), Theligny (18/1)

LANDOFSMILES arrives in the form of his life and can extend his winning run. Minella Bobo and Shantou Village are others to consider.
