Useful sort who landed 6f Kachy Stakes at Lingfield in February. Improved further when runner-up there on Finals' Day but well below par back on turf at Newmarket last time. Has lot on his plate here.

Easily best effort of last campaign when second in Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot. Not disgraced on return when third of 10 in 6f listed race at Doncaster. Considered if building on that effort.

Made into a smart 6f/7f winner in 2019 but seen out just once last term when last of 16 in Champions Sprint at Ascot in October. Returns from another lay-off now and needs to bounce back.

Very smart performance when an easy winner of the Stewards' Cup in 2019. Hit the frame both starts in a light 2020 season but ran badly at Meydan (4/1) in March. Worth another chance for in-form yard.

Forecasts

Khaadem (6/4), Brando (15/8), Cape Byron (3/1), Exalted Angel (11/1)

Verdict

Only four runners but still not the easiest of races to solve. KHAADEM is very smart on his day and worth forgiving a poor latest run at Meydan with his yard well among the winners at present. Veteran Brando has the form to play a big part if able to step up on his reappearance Doncaster third, with Cape Byron not ruled out easily either if on his A-game after a six-month absence.

  2. BRANDO
  3. CAPE BYRON
