Resumed winning ways back from a 9-month break at Carlisle in October. Followed that with a couple of creditable efforts in defeat, but misfired at Doncaster when last seen and bounce back needed.
Done well since joining this yard, runner-up in handicap chases at Doncaster and Market Rasen, either side of winning one in decisive fashion at the former course. Major player.
Winner of 2 of his 4 starts under the stewardship of Mark Walford, posting a career-best when landing a 24.3f handicap chase at Southwell (good) 3 weeks ago. 6 lb rise fair and merits respect.
Useful hurdler/chaser who has been below form over both sets of obstacles this term since landing a beginners' chase at Musselburgh last January. Others preferred.
Dual hurdles winner who finally got off the mark over fences in 3m handicap chase at Carlislein October. Below par at Newcastle a month later and absent since, but claims if on-song.
Left tame Newcastle effort behind when notching eighth chase success at Wetherby last month. Gave it a good shot when third over 30.6f at Perth (good) next time and this drop back in trip will help.
Not at his best in 3 starts over hurdles/fences since returning from a lengthy absence in December, but the assessor has shown mercy and he's not one to write off just yet.
Opened his account for new stable at Kelso in October and by no means disgraced in a higher-grade handicap at Carlisle last time. 1 lb lower now and should make his presence felt.

Forecasts
Bootlegger (9/4), Exit To Where (10/3), Bafana Blue (5/1), I'm To Blame (7/1), Cooking Fat (8/1), William Of Orange (10/1), Court Dreaming (16/1), Tanarpino (22/1)
Cases can be made for the majority of these. Preference is for BAFANA BLUE, who did the job well at Wetherby on penultimate start and his recent effort in a Perth marathon was highly respectable. The 10-y-o remains on an attractive mark. Bootlegger arrives here in good form and is a much-respected main danger, while William of Orange also enters calculations.
- BAFANA BLUE
- BOOTLEGGER (IRE)
- WILLIAM OF ORANGE
