Tumbled in the weights and ridden more prominently, he finally cashed in over C&D a month ago. Retains handicap scope if in the same mood.

Took well to hurdling in 2018/19, landing a Ludlow maiden. Lightly raced and disappointing on the whole in recent times, though.
Ended time with Michael Barry in Ireland in good form and made winning start for this yard in Ludlow handicap in October. Visored and matched that form when runner-up at Fontwell. Same mark here.
Successful 3 times over hurdles in juvenile campaign in 2019. Raced just once on the level last year so well-being is an unknown, but opening mark is fair.
Scored in good style on Hereford hurdle debut in January 2020 but failed to kick on, pulling up in Fred Winter 2 months later. No impact in 3 starts this term either. Blinkers replace cheekpieces.
Fair hurdler who resumed winning ways after 12 weeks off and added to a good course record at Fakenham in March, just holding on. Hampered at Kempton last time so that run excused.
Improved to get off the mark over hurdles on handicap bow at Newbury (16.3f) in March. Mid-field at Ascot since from revised mark, though that race is already working out. Tongue tie added.
Well held both starts last summer back from a break and hard to know how much ability he retains.
Fetched £50,000 after winning sole start between the flags. Clear signs of ability in a brace of novice hurdles at around 2m for Harry Whittington but low-key start for current yard.

Forecasts
Iron Heart (5/2), Champagne City (11/4), Clemento (7/2), Dave And Bernie (9/2), Kingofthecotswolds (15/2), Give Us A Swig (11/1), Glimpse Of Gold (14/1), Maria Magdalena (14/1), Raven Court (14/1), Gerolamo Cardano (16/1), Too Much To Ask (40/1)
CLEMENTO made a really encouraging start for Fergal O'Brien when chasing home the well-ridden Champagne City in a C&D handicap a month ago and is taken to reverse the placings this time. The Ascot race Iron Heart finished mid-field in is already starting to work out and he completes the shortlist.
