Smart juvenile hurdler in 2018/19. Stiff task in the Martin Pipe last time and had previously shown promise over fences at Ludlow. Could be the way to go.

Dual hurdles winner for Colin Tizzard and positive chase debut for new yard when second at Sandown (15.5f, soft) in February. Not so good twice since and bit to find with a couple here on these terms.

Established as a fairly useful hurdler/chaser but he's rather lost his way, well held in novice handicap chase/jumpers' bumper/handicap hurdle last 3 starts. Bit to prove.

Useful hurdler who has shown plenty over fences, albeit with a lot of mistakes thrown in. Good claims on his second to Tamaroc du Mathan at Wincanton in November if staying this far after a wind op.

7/2
Bumper/hurdles winner in 2019/2020. Hasn't really convinced in 2 tries over fences over C&D, not convincing with his stamina, though takes a marked drop in grade having contested the Pendil last time.

Forecasts

Adjali (13/8), Golden Taipan (16/5), Son Of Camas (7/2), Goa Lil (7/1), Beaufort West (9/1)

Verdict

It hasn't been plain sailing for ADJALI since his smart juvenile hurdling days but he's still got time on his side and looks the way to go back over fences having shown plenty in a novice handicap chase at Ludlow 2 runs back. Golden Taipan could be the danger if staying the trip back in this sphere.

  1. ADJALI (GER)
  2. GOLDEN TAIPAN (IRE)
  3. SON OF CAMAS (FR)
