Verdict

SHANTOU WARRIOR put in a good shift when hitting the crossbar at Ballinrobe where he was returning from an 8-month absence. A 3 lb rise for that near miss looks fair and he may well go one better this time. Amlad arrives here on the back of a coulple of solid efforts in defeat and is next on the list ahead of Danegeld. Roman Dylan and Grinn are both likely to do better in due course.
