12/1
Lightly-raced maiden. Ninth of 10 in handicap at Newmarket (8f, good to firm, 18/1) 17 days ago. 2yo form has some strength to it but needs to put that tame reappearance behind him.

Thrice-raced maiden. Eighth of 13 in minor event at Kempton (7f, 8/1), unsuited by emphasis on speed. Off 172 days. Very much the sort to do well in middle-distance handicaps this term.

Lightly-raced winner. Career best when winning 7-runner minor event at Pontefract (10f, heavy, 9/4), driven out. Off 6 months. Others have more potential.

Temple Lock93
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: Charles Bishop| T: Eve Johnson Houghton| OR:  72
16/1
Thrice-raced maiden. Third of 6 in minor event (20/1) at Lingfield (10f, AW). Off 93 days. Improving by the run and pedigree points to better still, so makes plenty of appeal on handicap debut.

Forecasts

No Recollection (5/4), Farhan (4/1), Big Boy Bobby (4/1), Genuflex (8/1), Forever Forward (12/1), Temple Lock (16/1)

Verdict

BIG BOY BOBBY shaped well over inadequate trips last season and, while his yard hasn't really got going fully, it's worth chancing that this well-bred gelding can prove himself better than a mark of 77 now upped in trip for handicap debut. Temple Lock fits a similar mould and is feared most, while No Recollection warrants consideration following a creditable third at Newmarket.

  1. BIG BOY BOBBY (IRE)
  2. TEMPLE LOCK
  3. NO RECOLLECTION
