Smart horse. Mixed record on AW this year but right back on his game when runner-up back on turf at Epsom 12 days ago. Same mark here and likely to give it another good shot up in trip.

Progressive handicapper who arrives on the back of a brace of wins at Ripon in April. Uncomplicated sort who could yet have more to offer.

Useful mare who largely performed with credit last season after making a winning reappearance at Windsor. Clearly very capable fresh.

On the up in handicaps last year, running out a ready winner of a 4-runner C&D handicap in September. Disappointed at York final start but likely to be well prepared for this.

Gained both wins at this venue and was unlucky not to finish closer on February's return to action at Meydan. Likely has a bigger performance in him.

Forecasts

Global Storm (7/4), Zabeel Champion (9/4), Rodrigo Diaz (11/4), Grand Bazaar (7/2), Sky Defender (17/2), Hyanna (10/1)

Verdict

GLOBAL STORM would have finished a lot closer than seventh with a clear run at Meydan in February and, unexposed over this trip (dam was a strong stayer), he could be the way to go. The limit of Rodrigo Diaz has yet to be reached and he's interesting on reappearance switched to turf, while Zabeel Champion is fit and in form.

  1. GLOBAL STORM (IRE)
  2. RODRIGO DIAZ
  3. ZABEEL CHAMPION
