Much better effort when winning 10-runner minor event at Beverley (5f, good to firm, 15/8) 12 days ago, forging clear. Should improve further but has penalty to concede.

Forecasts

Vintage Clarets (4/5), Love De Vega (11/10), Taa Laa (28/1), Novak (40/1)

Verdict

LOVE DE VEGA shaped really well when second at Newmarket on debut 2 weeks ago and he's sure to improve and be winning soon. He can make the most of the 4 lb he receives from Vintage Clarets, who won in convincing fashion at Beverley and is a promising 2-y-o himself. Newcomer Novak will have to be well-above average to get amongst them.
