Burnham Plastering 'National Hunt' Maiden Hurdle

Off time: 17:05 | Winning time: 4m 2.14s

Blueberry Wine¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: D McCain Jnr

15/2

Easily best effort when a keeping-on third over C&D 18 days ago. Repeat of that form puts him in the mix.

Form: P053

Come On Josh¹⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Fergus Gregory⁽³⁾| T: Ian Williams

125/1

Has displayed as much temperament as ability so far and looks a long-term project.

Form: 7P0

Famoso^t²⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: P F Nicholls

3/1

Low-key start given his smart pedigree but much more like it when keeping on for third at Wincanton in March. Should have more to offer. Highly respected.

Form: 4803

Gordon's Jet¹⁵⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: T Scudamore| T: B Ellison

1/1

Punchestown bumper winner on debut for Gordon Elliott in September. Failed to match that form twice since and has left that yard but should have a future as a hurdler.

Form: 147

Twice The Mustard⁴²⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: Mr G Barfoot-Saunt| T: Mrs Tracey Barfoot-Saunt

300/1

Looked clueless when tailed off in jumpers bumper at Wolverhampton on debut in February 2020.

Form: 0-

Hope You Do²⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White

5/2

From winning NH family and made perfect start in French bumper in May 2020. Has failed to meet expectations both hurdles starts but has a bigger performance in his locker.

Form: 155

Forecasts

Gordon's Jet (1/1), Hope You Do (5/2), Famoso (3/1), Blueberry Wine (15/2), Stanley Stanley (8/1), Come On Josh (125/1), Twice The Mustard (300/1)

FAMOSO has a long way to go to live up to his pedigree, but he did offer a lot more when third at Wincanton last month and is capable of winning a race such as this. Hope You Do almost certainly has a bigger performance in him and is second choice.
