Consistent hurdler who has been runner-up on all 4 starts since scoring at Ayr in January 2020. Well respected with conditional (claiming 5 lb) taking over after 123 days off.
Likeable sort who made an excellent start to hurdling and, although disappointing at Ludlow recently, he may strip fitter for the run, so not discounted.
Veteran front runner who gamely landed 2m1f Cartmel handicap in August. Both subsequent outings have been pretty tame, though.
Has made excellent start over hurdles, landing juveniles at Sedgefield and Wetherby. Another good effort when second in Musselburgh listed race, then had little chance in the Triumph. Considered.
Fairly useful front-running hurdler who scored at Stratford last August but seemed in the handicappers grip subsequently. Up against it back from 6 months off.
Disappointing in jumpers bumpers earlier in the season but goes well at this track and has the ability to win fresh, so not discounted back from a break.
Just the one victory for Gordon Elliott but confirmed promise of his reappearance when a ready winner at Haydock in January, then unseated rider early at Kelso a month later. Remains of interest.
Fairly useful over hurdles in 2019 and not disgraced on the level lately, so not completely discounted from a fair mark.
Fairly useful on Flat and made promising start to hurdling career (for John Halley) when third at Limerick last summer. Disappointing in varied events for current yard since, however.
Belied odds of 33/1 when landing a big-field Cheltenham handicap in November. Has performed at least respectably since, and bold showing expected here.
Ex-French winning chaser who showed very little in trio of starts over fences for Lucinda Russell during second half of last year. Undergone wind surgery since and market may prove a good guide.

Forecasts
The Bees Knees (3/1), Lively Citizen (4/1), Historic Heart (6/1), McGowan's Pass (6/1), True Romance (10/1), Serious Ego (11/1), Jack Yeats (12/1), See The Sea (14/1), Golden Town (16/1), Beeno (25/1), Signifiant (50/1)
SERIOUS EGO was impressive at Haydock in January and is worth another chance to build on that having unseated at Kelso on his only subsequent start. Mcgowan's Pass can be relied upon to give his running and has the assistance of a promising conditional, so he's a threat along with Lively Citizen.
- SERIOUS EGO (GER)
- MCGOWAN'S PASS
- LIVELY CITIZEN (IRE)
