Off time: 17:51 | Winning time: 3m 50.38s

Samarrive¹²⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Lorcan Williams⁽³⁾| T: P F Nicholls

5/4

Won 16-runner maiden at Angers on hurdling debut by 3 lengths from Prince des Valois, leading last. Has left Gabriel Leenders and seems sure to improve for Paul Nicholls.

Form: 1

Chives¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-12| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson

9/2

Half-brother to useful hurdler Mill Green (2m-2¾m winner). Has failed to meet market expectations both starts so far but in good hands and will do better if jumping improves.

Form: 63

Delta River¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Miss H C Tucker⁽⁷⁾| T: K Davis

100/1

Fair maiden at up to 1m on the Flat for Richard Hannon. Saddle slipped early on hurdles debut and this will reveal more.

Form: P

He Is A Cracker¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Paul O'Brien⁽³⁾| T: G Brown

100/1

Runner-up sole start in Irish points but hasn't shown much under Rules.

Form: 2800

Kost A Coat²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore

20/1

Fair form shown in two bumpers and he shaped as if in need of the run on first run for 2 years on hurdling debut at Sandown. Failed to back that up at Wincanton latest, though.

Form: 38/59

Never To Forget³³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: M Goldstein| T: M R Hoad

200/1

Modest maiden at best on Flat, stays 1m, well held last 2 starts (on debut for current yard latest after 13 months off).

Form:

Seinesational^p²²

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: Dr R D P Newland| D

11/8

Useful on Flat, stays 2½m. Sold for 32,000 gns in October and showed enough on last month's hurdles debut to think he can win a race.

Form: 4

Spectaculardisplay¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: J E Moore| T: D G Bridgwater

300/1

No promise both starts this spring.

Form: VP0

Theoule¹³¹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Tom Cannon| T: M Meade

12/1

Displyed promise on debut in February prior to a disappointing effort at Lingfield. Rare NH runner for Flat yard.

Forecasts

Samarrive (5/4), Seinesational (11/8), Chives (9/2), Theoule (12/1), Kost A Coat (20/1), He Is A Cracker (100/1), Delta River (100/1), Never To Forget (200/1), Spectaculardisplay (300/1)

SAMARRIVE saw off 15 rivals when making a winning debut at Angers in December and, having joined Paul Nicholls, it's reasonable to expect improvement. He's therefore selected to successfully concede weight all round, likely at the chief expense of Seinesational.
