Lightly-raced winner. 15 lengths sixth of 9 to Dream of Dreams in Hungerford Stakes at Newbury (7f, good to soft, 16/1) on final start of 2020. Big chance if reproducing smart 2-y-o form.

Forecasts

Motakhayyel (11/8), Toro Strike (5/2), Pierre Lapin (10/3), Hey Jonesy (11/1), Azano (22/1), Ostilio (33/1)

Verdict

It's interesting that connections are persevering with the enigma that is PIERRE LAPIN, who looked destined for big things when winning both starts as a 2-y-o but showed little spark in a light 2020 campaign. He has been gelded since and, with another winter under his belt, perhaps he will be a maturer, less headstrong model this season. Motakhayyel and Toro Strike will provide stern resistance.

  1. PIERRE LAPIN (IRE)
  2. MOTAKHAYYEL
  3. TORO STRIKE (USA)
