Age: 5| Weight: 12-1| J: J E Moore| T: Miss Gay Kelleway| OR: 101

12/1

Fair maiden on Flat who was allowed an easy lead when making winning hurdles debut at Ludlow last term. Latest effort was creditable, but more needed here in first-time blinkers.

Felton Bellevue^t1⁷⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Bryan Carver⁽³⁾| T: B I Case| OR: 93

4/1

Yet to make an impact following half-a-dozen starts in this sphere, and fitting of a tongue strap will need to spark improvement if he's to play a leading role here.

Form: 3-78536

Hier Encore^t1²⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-6| J: Ben Godfrey⁽⁵⁾| T: N Dunger| OR: 92| C

11/1

Both wins have been registered here, the latest in March 2019. Needs to bounce back following a string of below par efforts, but definite chance off this reduced mark if able to do so.

Form: 2247P6

Emmas Dilemma^t,v²⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 10-11| J: Mr Nathan Brennan⁽⁷⁾| T: H James| OR: 83

11/2

Opened her account at the eighteenth time of asking at Huntingdon (25f, good to soft) last month. However, the 8 lb rise she picked up for that may be enough to anchor her.

Form: 85P751

Uknowwhatimean^p¹⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-10| J: Tabitha Worsley⁽⁵⁾| T: Cynthia Woods| OR: 82

12/1

Successful between the flags, but efforts under Rules will need improving upon if he's to emerge on top here.

Form: 2-07B80

Lawtop Legend^p¹⁷⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 10-4| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR: 76

11/10

Just the one win to his name from 16 starts over hurdles, but posted a respectable effort at Kelso when last seen in October and is of interest here on debut for new yard.

Form: 8489-46

Soarlikeaneagle¹¹

Age: 9| Weight: 10-0| J: James Davies| T: R Rowe| OR: 72

22/1

Poor maiden who ran creditably from this career-low mark when second at Plumpton last month, but beaten a long way in the race won by Good News there subsequently.

Forecasts

Lawtop Legend (11/10), Good News (15/8), Felton Bellevue (4/1), Emmas Dilemma (11/2), Hier Encore (11/1), Bolt N Brown (12/1), Uknowwhatimean (12/1), Fearsome Fred (12/1), Soarlikeaneagle (22/1)

The vote goes to LAWTOP LEGEND, who makes his debut for a shrewd yard off a career-low mark and with conditions in his favour. Confidence levels will heighten if the market speaks in his favour. Good News returned to form with a bang at Plumpton recently and is feared most, while Hier Encore will also be a threat if he puts his best foot forward.
