Dubawi colt who was all the rage in the betting prior to getting off the mark in a Wolverhampton maiden (8.6f) in November, albeit aided by antics of errant runner-up. Still, he's a good prospect.

Sea The Stars colt who created good impression as he overcame inexperience (and unfavourable circumstances) to make winning debut in an AW maiden (10f) late last year. Looks sure to do better again.

Teofilo colt (from family of Look Here) who handled heavy ground well when getting on top close home in a Newbury novice (1m) in October. Better to come up in trip and he's of real interest on return.

Frankel colt. Dam, 8.6f-1¼m winner, half-sister to useful winner up to 1m Good Old Boy Lukey. This looks a tough enough introduction but he appeals on paper and worth a close check in the betting.

160,000 gns Teofilo colt who shaped as if in need of experience when eighth of 9 in a Newcastle novice (1m) in October, faltering under 2f out. In very good hands and he will surely improve.

Zoffany colt who was easy to back but showed plenty to work on when fourth in a Lingfield novice (1m) in March, finishing with running left. Could prove different proposition with that under his belt.

Forecasts

Al Waqidi (2/1), Scope (9/4), Daramethos (3/1), Zoom Tiger (11/2), John Leeper (7/1), Franco Grasso (18/1), Tio Mio (25/1)

Verdict

Plenty of promising colts and it may pay to side with SCOPE. A winner on debut in a heavy-ground 1m event at Newbury in the autumn, he hails from a family his yard have done superbly well with over the years, and he'll do even better stepping up in trip. Godolphin pair Daramethos and Al Waqidi similarly looked useful prospects when winning first time up and can also feature.

  1. SCOPE (IRE)
  2. DARAMETHOS (IRE)
  3. AL WAQIDI
