Seventh of 10 in handicap (8/1) at Chelmsford City (8f) 10 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and claims if the new headgear helps spark a return to form.

Second of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City (8f, 8/1) 10 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and, given the stable he represents, it will be interesting to see which way he goes in the betting.

C&D winner. Thirteen runs since last win in 2019. 11/1, eleventh of 13 in handicap at this C&D, slowly away. Off 149 days and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Forecasts

Masque Of Anarchy (9/4), Mostaqqer (7/2), Hot Team (5/1), Born To Sire (15/2), Van Dijk (9/1), New Look (14/1), Corofin (16/1), Super Superjack (16/1), Red Skye Delight (28/1), Lukoutoldmakezebak (33/1), Red Gunner (40/1), Marjoram (40/1), Pedro De Styles (125/1)

Verdict

This represents a good opportunity for HOT TEAM to regain the winning thread. He wasn't beaten far in a stronger handicap than this under an inexperienced rider at Doncaster 16 days ago and will benefit from stronger handling here. Corofin will be a threat if she puts her best foot forward back on turf for a new yard, while handicap debutante Marjoram also needs a second look.
