€44,000 3-y-o. Dam unraced out of French 15f-17f hurdles/chase winner Don Lauresse, herself a half-sister to very smart hurdler/top-class chaser Exotic Dancer. Failed to complete sole start in points.

Multiple Flat winner who landed a Newcastle jumpers bumper in February. Stepped up on encouraging hurdles debut when second in a Doncaster novice (16.6f, good) last month and obvious claims here.

Three-time winner on the Flat for Clive Cox in 2019. Best effort yet in this sphere when pushing the odds-on favourite to the limit at Ludlow (15.8f, good to soft) recently and shouldn't be far away.

Failed to threaten both starts between the flags, albeit he was placed on the latter occasion. Tongue strap enlisted for this Rules debut and probably best watched on this occasion.

Fair at best on the Flat, but lost his way last year and offered little on C&D hurdles debut last weekend.

Fair maiden at up to 13f on Flat in France. Well clear of the rest when runner-up on recent hurdles debut at Hereford (16.2f, good) and major chance here with improvement on the cards.

Forecasts

Gylo (1/1), Kamaxos (5/2), Touchthesoul (9/2), Just The Man (9/1), Belle Jour (22/1), Megamegawhitething (80/1), The Lords Walk (150/1)

Verdict

The weight-for-age allowance tips the scales firmly in favour of the 4-y-o KAMAXOS, who made a promising start in this sphere when finding just one too good at Hereford. Gylo also hit the crossbar on his latest start and is clear second choice ahead of Touchthesoul and Just The Man.

  1. KAMAXOS (FR)
  2. GYLO (IRE)
  3. TOUCHTHESOUL (ITY)
