3/1
Winning pointer who made it second time lucky over timber in 21f Kelso novice in October. Creditable efforts under penalty prior to facing a stiff task here last time. This is less demanding.

4/1
Bumper winner who made a successful hurdling debut at Sedgefield (16.8f) in October. However, hasn't gone on from that, looking far from straightforward back in this sphere at that venue last time.

Left behind a disappointing British debut when second of 12 in novice hurdle (11/8) at this course (16.2f, good) 11 days ago, clear of rest. Up in trip and may do better still.

Fair form in bumpers and is bred for this sort of test over hurdles. Not ruled out.

Well held in novice/maiden hurdle. Has left Philip Kirby and is probably one for handicaps after this.

Forecasts

Fantastic Rock (4/5), Erne River (9/4), Franks Fancy (3/1), Tara Mill (7/2), Stormin Norman (4/1), Rattle Owl (15/2), Son Of The Somme (16/1), Glory (50/1), Eveque (100/1), Faraday Effect (150/1), St Basil (200/1)

Verdict

FANASTIC ROCK pulled clear of the rest when runner-up here 11 days ago and is taken to go one better over this longer trip. Doncaster-scorer Erne River is respected under a penalty with further improvement on the cards, while Rattle Owl is also worth a second look now moving up to a more suitable distance for his hurdle debut.

  1. FANTASTIC ROCK (FR)
  2. ERNE RIVER (IRE)
  3. RATTLE OWL
