Off time: 18:32 | Winning time: 3m 52.54s

American Gerry³⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Mr Nathan Brennan⁽⁷⁾| T: H Morrison

15/8

Promise in points and again on bumper debut for Chris Gordon over C&D last month, running on well for second under this rider. Should improve for new yard.

Form: P42

Kandoo Kid^t¹⁰³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Lorcan Williams⁽³⁾| T: P F Nicholls| BF

5/2

Kapgarde gelding from the family of top stable performer Politologue. Encouraging fourth in decent Ascot bumper on debut in November then not seen to best effect in messy Wincanton race on Boxing Day.

Form: 43

Trust The Dreams

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: A King

7/1

Farhh gelding. Half-brother to 7f/1m winner City Bridge. Dam, ran once on Flat, half-sister to useful hurdler (stayed 21f) Loch Ard. Makes plenty of appeal on paper.

Form:

Here Hare Here

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Caoilin Quinn⁽⁷⁾| T: W Greatrex

9/1

£24,000 3-y-o, Masterstroke gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Fraternel and 17f French chase winner Espoir du Turf.

Form:

Lallygag

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Ben Godfrey⁽⁵⁾| T: K Woollacott

18/1

It's Gino brother to 3 winners, including stable star, smart hurdler/very smart chaser Lalor who won bumper on debut. Of obvious interest.

Form:

Rock Legend¹⁵²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Tristan Durrell⁽⁷⁾| T: D Skelton| BF

11/1

Half-brother to 5 winners, notably high-class hurdler Wicklow Brave. Failed to meet expectations in 3-y-o Aintree bumper on debut in November but given a break since and could progress.

Form: 4

Toutatis²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien

8/1

Promising start when placed in Kempton and Doncaster bumpers but needs more still to prevail here.

Form: 32

Hazy Dream¹²⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Miss H C Tucker⁽⁷⁾| T: C J Down

50/1

Stayed on gradually for second in Exeter bumper in December but it amounts to just poor form.

Form: 82

Result Amended

Forecasts

American Gerry (15/8), Kandoo Kid (5/2), Trust The Dreams (7/1), Toutatis (8/1), Here Hare Here (9/1), Nine Nine Nine (10/1), Rock Legend (11/1), Lallygag (18/1), Highland Light (33/1), Hazy Dream (50/1)

Probably a fair bumper and KANDOO KID is taken to get off the mark at the third time of asking. American Gerry has more to offer for his new yard, while Trust The Dreams and Lallygag are interesting newcomers.
