Improved with each run over hurdles to date, landing Grade 1 Finale Juvenile at Chepstow prior to a fine second in the Triumph at Cheltenham last month. Has to merit respect.

Fairly useful Flat winner for David Simcock who was possibly unsuited by conditions when well held on yard/hurdles debut at Musselburgh (15.5f) in February. Undergone wind surgery since.

Useful on Flat and, having been acquired for 75,000 gns, shaped with abundant promise when fourth in the Adonis at Kempton (2m) in February. Better for that run and open to significant progress.

Exciting prospect who arrives unbeaten over hurdles, landing Doncaster Grade 2 prior to accounting for Nassalam at Haydock (15.6f) in February. Likely there is more to come and lead player.

Winner over hurdles on sole start in France and bettered opening efforts for present stable when running out a comfortable winner of a Musselburgh novice (16.4f) in March. This is much tougher.

Fairly useful on Flat for Mark Johnston and has relished the switch to hurdling, making it 3-3 in a listed juvenile at Musselburgh (15.5f) in February. That may not prove her limit.

Forecasts

Monmiral (10/11), Adagio (13/8), Fiveandtwenty (12/1), John Locke (16/1), Paros (20/1), Carlos Felix (125/1)

Verdict

MONMIRAL is one of the most exciting juvenile hurdlers around and made it 4-4 with the minimum of fuss at Haydock in February. Arriving fresh having skipped Cheltenham, Paul Nicholls' charge is fancied to maintain his 100% record. Adagio ran a fine race to finish second in the Triumph and should pose the biggest threat, ahead of John Locke.

  1. MONMIRAL (FR)
  2. ADAGIO (GER)
  3. JOHN LOCKE
