Fair hurdler who stepped up on her reappearance when 3½ lengths second of 7 to Aggy With It in a 19f novice at Taunton in November. Off since but won't be far away with a reproduction of that form.

Very much in need of the experience when a well-held sixth of 9 in bumper (11/1) at Newbury (16.3f) on NH debut 29 days ago, running green. This trip will suit now hurdling, but improvement needed.

Raced freely and was never involved in Lingfield bumper on debut 62 days ago. Switches to hurdles in a tongue tie.

Just minor promise in a couple of bumpers. Upped significantly in trip for hurdles bow.

Modest in bumpers and looked one for the longer term sent hurdling in a tongue strap when well held at Doncaster last month.

Fairly useful hurdler who failed to justify support on the back of his jumpers bumper win on Ludlow handicap debut last time, but still sets the standard.

Unplaced on sole outing in bumpers and looked badly in need of the experience when well held on Doncaster hurdle debut 17 days ago.

Fair in bumpers, including a Sedgefield win in August. Showed a bit on her Carlisle hurdle debut and was in the process of showing something again when losing her action at Wetherby 3 weeks later.

Forecasts

Royal Pretender (4/5), Fitzroy (15/8), Flexi Furlough (8/1), Norvics Reflection (18/1), Head On (22/1), Chosen Shant (66/1), Leopolds Rock (80/1), Iggy Iggins (250/1)

Verdict

ROYAL PRETENDER and Fitzroy aren't particularly convincing but they set the standard back in maiden company. The first named finished amongst some promising types on his Chepstow hurdling debut back in October and, although hasn't progressed, still has to be considered the one to beat.

  1. ROYAL PRETENDER (FR)
  2. FITZROY (IRE)
  3. FLEXI FURLOUGH (IRE)
