Progressive hurdler who put it all together to open chase account at Sedgefield in November. Ran poorly at Wincanton last time, though, and needs to bounce back.

Bumper/hurdle winner but very lightly raced in recent times and disappointed in a trio of handicap chases, failing to complete after 3 months off at Stratford 17 days ago. Probably best watched.

Fairly useful 20f hurdle winner. Made encouraging start over fences when fourth at Taunton and ran to a similar level in first-time cheekpieces/tongue tie at Doncaster last month. More needed.

Point winner who showed ability over hurdles last term. Temperament issues seemed to surface on second chase try at Doncaster in January and brought down at Newcastle since. This will reveal more.

Multiple point winner but well held in novice hurdles at Taunton/Wincanton this term. Ran well in face of stiff task on chase bow but failed to back that up at Chepstow since. Tongue tie goes on.

Showed ability in bumpers and over hurdles a couple of seasons back and back on track in a first-time tongue tie when runner-up on chase bow at Leicester last month. Should progress from that.

Fair 3m winner at Ascot last term who arrives in good nick, probably remaining in form when fifth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Wincanton 3 weeks ago. One to note with tongue tie on for chase debut.

Won a couple of handicaps at up to 25f last season and good runs at this track first 2 starts this term. Not in same form on last 2 starts and probably best to look elsewhere on chase debut.

Forecasts

Landofsmiles (7/4), Rosmuc Relay (11/2), Out The Glen (7/1), Flowing Cadenza (7/1), Robin Of Sherwood (15/2), Normandy Soldier (9/1), Carrick Roads (18/1), Mcnamaras Band (20/1), Donnie Brasco (28/1), Scorpion Haze (28/1), Minimalistic (33/1)

Verdict

LANDOFSMILES finally put it all together in rather devastating fashion at Chepstow 11 days ago, admittedly in a weak enough handicap, but it was hard not to be impressed how he surged to the front mid-race and never came back. This looks an ideal opportunity for him to double up. Rosmuc Relay rates the main danger following his recent Uttoxeter victory, ahead of chasing debutante Flowing Cadenza.

  1. LANDOFSMILES (IRE)
  2. ROSMUC RELAY (IRE)
  3. FLOWING CADENZA
