4/9
French recruit who has steadily progressed in maiden/novice hurdles, getting off mark on heavy at Ffos Las in February. This looks a decent chance to defy penalty if as good on this quicker surface.

Half-brother to useful hurdler Mill Green (2m-2¾m winner). 9/2. ran to just a modest level when remote sixth on 2m Wincanton hurdle debut but likely better than that and this longer trip could help.

Forecasts

Franco D'Aunou (4/9), Chives (5/1), Artemision (13/2), Grooveur (14/1), Snowpiercer (80/1)

Verdict

Assuming he handles the likely quicker ground this looks a good opportunity for FRANCO D'AUNOU to defy a penalty. Nicky Henderson's Chives can leave his debut behind and give the selection most to think about.

  1. FRANCO D'AUNOU (FR)
  2. CHIVES
  3. ARTEMISION
