Winner of Newton Abbot maiden hurdle and Kempton novice (both at around this trip on good ground) earlier this season. Disappointing the last twice, but she's certainly not one to write off just yet.

Winner of first 2 starts over hurdles this season, including a C&D novice. Not disgraced in better company since, but more needed now pitched into a handicap in first-time cheekpieces.

Disappointing favourite for a Kempton handicap back from 20-months off in December. However, step back in right direction when runner-up at Doncaster (16.6f, good) last time and she merits respect.

Yet to get her head in front, but placed on 7 of her 10 starts over hurdles, finding just one too good in handicaps over this C&D and at Market Rasen the last twice. Another bold show anticipated.

Forecasts

Precious Eleanor (2/1), Wynn House (85/40), Barbados Blue (11/4), Sunrise Ruby (11/2), Crossgalesfamegame (8/1)

Verdict

This could be the day when PRECIOUS ELEANOR finally gets her head in front. She certainly deserves to do so, having hit the crossbar on 3 of her last 4 starts, and the drying ground is no bad thing where this 6-y-o is concerned. Apparent Nicky Henderson first-string, Barbados Blue, may offer the greatest resistance.

  1. PRECIOUS ELEANOR (FR)
  2. BARBADOS BLUE (IRE)
  3. SUNRISE RUBY (IRE)
