Baddesley Knight¹⁷⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-10| J: Tom Cannon| T: C Gordon| OR: 138| D

5/1

Bumper/hurdles winner and quickly made up into an even better chaser last season. Strong in betting but proved to be a disappointment back over hurdles on return in October (reportedly bled again).

Form: 13/212-6

Benatar³²

Age: 9| Weight: 11-7| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR: 135

9/2

Useful chaser who shaped encouragingly after 23 months off when third in Caspian Caviar Gold Cup at Cheltenham in December. However, bounce back called for after below-par efforts at Sandown/Warwick.

Form: 437/3P8

King D'Argent²²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 135| CD

11/8

Has been in fine form this term, making it 2 from 3 over fences in 3-runner handicap at Southwell 3 weeks ago, easily making all. 10 lb higher now but remains unexposed in this sphere. Big player.

Form: 31F131

Fanzio^t⁴³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Paul O'Brien⁽³⁾| T: R Hobson| OR: 133| D

9/1

Useful winning chaser who has been running in jumpers bumpers of late, pulling too hard latest. Mixed record over fences this season so hard to know what to expect.

Form: P2F467

Age: 9| Weight: 10-10| J: P J Brennan| T: Henry Oliver| OR: 124| CD

4/1

Hinted at a revival here before taking advantage of reduced mark when landing gamble at Hereford last month, well on top finish. Respected up 7 lb.

Forecasts

King D'Argent (11/8), Generous Day (4/1), Benatar (9/2), Baddesley Knight (5/1), Fanzio (9/1), Atlantic Storm (14/1), Duca De Thaix (33/1)

KING D'ARGENT is a chaser on the upgrade having won both his completed starts over fences and remains one to keep on the right side of. Generous Day landed a gamble in good style at Hereford last month so rates the main threat.
