Sir Sholokhov^t²⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: D A Jacob| T: H Whittington| OR: 114

7/2

Winning Irish pointer who shaped encouragingly when third in 2m novice hurdle at Newbury. Raced keenly when failing to build on it over 2m4f there but shouldn't be written off now going chasing.

Form: 1-34

Ben Brody^b²⁹

Age: 11| Weight: 11-5| J: Max Kendrick⁽³⁾| T: D J Jeffreys| OR: 110| D

9/4

Made it 2-4 over fences for current yard when easily making all in 2m Ludlow handicap last month, drawing clear from 3 out. Hiked up 11 lb but still weighted to have a big say.

Form: P83151

Falcon Sun^b,t⁸⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 106| D

3/1

Fairly useful hurdler/chaser at his best. Good second in 2m Taunton handicap chase in November but has run poorly twice since, latest after a wind op when also in blinkers/tongue strap. Lots to prove.

Form: 6-2426P

The Silver Prince⁶²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-0| J: Callum Bewley| T: S Waugh| OR: 88

10/1

Placed in points and bits of promise over hurdles but has offered little on his last three outings. Sent chasing now with questions to answer.

Forecasts

Ben Brody (9/4), Falcon Sun (3/1), Sir Sholokhov (7/2), Victory Echo (7/2), The Silver Prince (10/1), De Mazzaro (33/1)

BEN BRODY has made an excellent start over fences and is impossible to oppose despite taking a hike in the weights for his impressive Ludlow win last month. Realistic challengers look thin on the ground so chasing newcomer Sir Sholokhov could be the one to chase him home ahead of Victory Echo.
