Dual C&D winner last term and produced a career-best when adding to his tally on return at Stratford in October. However, recent effort following a break/wind surgery at Doncaster was poor.
Still a maiden, but placed twice in C&D handicaps in January and also second in a jumpers bumper last month. Now tried in a visor and should again go well with the drying ground likely to help.
Didn't shape at all badly on hurdles debut at Market Rasen last summer, but has gone the wrong way since and mark for his handicap debut in this sphere is hardly a gift.
It's been a long time since he last got his head in front and while he has made the frame on 2 of his last 3 starts, others make greater appeal. Hood refitted.
Signs of ability initially in maiden/novice company, but no impact since switched to handicaps and by no means certain to build on last month's decent efforts in jumpers bumpers back in this sphere.
Just modest on the Flat nowadays and beaten a long way both starts since switched to handicaps in this sphere.
Runner-up on debut in a bumper in October 2019, but it would be something of an understatement to say that he's failed to build on that since. Cheekpieces refitted.
Showed nothing in 3 starts last term and similar story switched to handicaps this season.
By no means disgraced in an Exeter handicap on latest start in this sphere in October. In good form on the Flat for new yard subsequently and needs considering here off a reduced mark.
Gained breakthrough success in a C&D selling handicap 3 starts back. Creditable second of 13 back here last week and she's a live each-way contender.
Fairly useful on Flat for Andrew Balding, but hasn't shown much in a handful of novice hurdles and he's a long way out of the weights now pitched into a handicap in this sphere.

Forecasts
Darkest Day (11/4), Mi Laddo (4/1), Blood Eagle (9/2), Nye Bevan (11/2), Good Bye (13/2), Devious Dicks Dame (15/2), Officer Drivel (12/1), Mawlood (12/1), Scrutinise (14/1), Jewelinthename (33/1), Sing Out Loud (33/1), Prince Percy (50/1)
Though still a maiden, DARKEST DAY has done the majority of his racing over hurdles on slower ground than he's likely to encounter this time and he is appealing on the back of a very solid effort in a jumpers bumper at Lingfield. The addition of a visor may also be to his benefit. Mi Laddo has been in good heart on the Flat in recent months and is second choice ahead of Devious Dicks Dame.
