10/1

13/2, last of 7 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f). Off 100 days and while he's not badly handicapped by any means, it would appear that Duesenberg is the stable first-string.

Duesenberg³⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-0| J: P Hanagan| T: R A Fahey| OR: 77

9/4

4/1, good second of 6 in handicap at this course (8f) 39 days ago. Mark unchanged and there could be more to come from him on this surface, but dropping back in trip may not be ideal.

Form: 3/6600-2

9/2

First run since leaving Kevin Philippart De Foy when creditable second of 9 in handicap at this course (8f, 9/1) 28 days ago. No surprise if he's in the thick of things once more.

Forecasts

Streak Lightning (7/4), Duesenberg (9/4), Artistic Rifles (11/4), Greek Kodiac (9/2), Atheeb (11/2), National League (10/1)

The vote goes to STREAK LIGHTNING, who got back on track when making it 2-3 on the all-weather over C&D in January and a 4 lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from striking again. Duesenberg found only a progressive type too strong over 1m here last time and he should be winning soon, but this drop back in trip is of dubious benefit. He is second choice nonetheless, ahead of Artistic Rifles.
