Fairly useful jumper in France, successful in juvenile hurdle and bumper in September 2018. Handed a stiff-looking mark but still didn't offer much on his British debut last month so more needed.

Generally progressive and impressive winner at Ludlow in January. Ran just respectably under a penalty at Fakenham a week later and this return to a more galloping track should suit.

Ended last season in rude health, rattling off the 4-timer at Market Rasen (19f) 14 months ago. Possibly amiss given he dropped away quickly on Ayr return but again ran poorly at Musselburgh since.

Revels in the mud and ended last season on a high over hurdles, following his Taunton success at Sandown in February. Low-key start over fences so far, and fared no better back over timber last time.

French import who has yet to win on these shores. Put in a good shift when runner-up back from 10 months off at Fontwell but disappointed all 3 starts since, including on yard debut in January.

Low-mileage 9-y-o who won 3 of his 4 starts over fences last term. Put a few below-par efforts behind him to resume winning ways at Huntingdon 16 days ago and should remain competitive up 9 lb.

Seemingly perked up by the refitting of headgear when ending a losing run at Leicester 13 months ago. None too reliable, though, and well held since (including on the Flat early this year).

Ex-pointer who showed much-improved form to land a gamble in ready fashion on handicap bow over fences at Wincanton last week. Up 11 lb for that but further improvement certainly on the cards.

Forecasts

Five Star Getaway (11/8), Golden Whisky (10/3), Go Steady (7/2), The Russian Doyen (7/1), Fuji Flight (8/1), Limited Reserve (11/1), Prairie Town (22/1), Dustin Des Mottes (33/1), Zolfo (40/1)

Verdict

FIVE STAR GETAWAY landed a gamble in taking fashion at Wincanton last week and the manor of that victory suggested Christian Williams' 7-y-o is far from finished improving. This is a much warmer race but he gets the nod to follow up from an 11 lb higher mark. Go Steady bolted up at Huntingdon for the in-form Skelton brothers 16 days ago and rates the main threat, ahead of Golden Whisky.

  2. GO STEADY
  3. GOLDEN WHISKY (IRE)
