Fair maiden hurdler who didn't shape badly on chase debut over 15.7f at Catterick last month. This step back up in trip looks a good move and he's open to improvement in this sphere.
Fair form for Liz Doyle in 2018/19 and runner-up twice in British points last winter. However, he hasn't shown much spark since joining this yard and connections now reach for cheekpieces.
Returned to form when taking 19f handicap chase at Catterick on penultimate start. Not so good off this 9 lb higher mark here next time, but definite each-way chance if he puts his best foot forward.
Resumed winning ways at Bangor (20.3f) last summer and left the impression that he's working his way back to form when fourth at Hereford 23 days ago. Down another 2 lb and couldn't rule out.
Below par since returning from a lengthy absence last March, flattered by finishing position when runner-up at Chepstow last time (looked booked for fourth when inheriting second at the final fence).
Missed majority of 2020 and needs to bounce back following an inauspicious recent display at Sedgefield.
Winless following 9 runs between the flags and 5 attempts over hurdles, but offered something to work on when fourth on chase debut at Bangor in July. Claims if fully tuned-up for another new yard.
Maiden who has taken incremental steps forward on each of his 4 starts this season, finding just one too strong over 2m here last month. Still, this new trip needs to help eke out more.
Took a share of the spoils after 9-month absence in handicap chase at Lingfield last January. However, well held both subsequent starts and longer absence (12 months) to overcome this time round.
Veteran chaser who is without a win since 2018. Conversely, he rolled back the years when runner-up in first-time blinkers here (22.7f) 10 days ago and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice.

Forecasts
Midnight Mustang (10/3), Newberry New (7/2), Cobra Commander (11/2), K'chou Du Pecos Aa (6/1), Joly Maker (15/2), Celma Des Bois (10/1), Game In The Park (12/1), Liar's Dice (14/1), Touch Screen (25/1), Iskabeg Lane (33/1), St Merryn (33/1)
MIDNIGHT MUSTANG has done the majority of his racing over 2¾m+ in recent seasons, but he left the strong impression that this drop in trip would be just the ticket when a back-to-form second over 22.7f here recently. Providing the blinkers work equally well at the second time of asking, he'll take plenty of stopping. Unexposed chasers Game In The Park and K'chou Du Pecos AA rate the main dangers.
