Right back on song since fitted with tongue strap and impressively bagged handicap chases here and Taunton (2m6f) last month. The one to beat under 7 lb penalty.

Winning pointer who posed best effort when second at Ffos Las (21f) in November. Perhaps found 3m on heavy stretching him at Uttoxeter next time but something to prove after poor Warwick run latest.

Edging down the weights with no great sign that he's about to capitalise, lacking enthusiasm when only fifth in handicap at Market Rasen 89 days ago. Blinkers might help, however.

Modest hurdler who has upped his game since switched to chasing, winning at Exeter (3m) before good third at Carlisle 14 days ago. Merits consideration off same mark.

In fine form over fences after long absence for new yard and gained breakthrough win in 3m handicap chase at Huntingdon. Off 11 months but veteran can't be discounted.

80/1-winner of 2m5f Market Rasen chase in 2018 but largely out of sorts under various codes since, last of 7 in Southwell handicap on Flat last time. Others much preferred.

Remains a maiden after 20 runs, but turned in better effort than of late in first-time blinkers when fifth of 16 in 3m handicap at Ludlow 40 days ago. Headgear retained but others still appeal more.

Losing run is mounting up and he failed to build on previous promise when fifth in 2m handicap chase (5/1) at Ffos Las 26 days ago. Blinkers back on now with it to prove.

Poor maiden hurdler who has cut little ice in three runs over fences this term. Very hard to make a case for.

Forecasts

Ring The Moon (11/4), Don Herbager (3/1), Catlin (10/3), Do It For Thy Sen (8/1), Linenhall (11/1), Max Dynamo (12/1), Oakley Hall (14/1), Rock On Aussie (16/1), Royal Act (20/1), Maasai Warrior (28/1), Midnight Mustang (50/1), L'Es Fremantle (250/1)

Verdict

RING THE MOON is on a roll and very hard to oppose under a penalty in his hat-trick bid after ready victories here and at Taunton. Don Herbager has taken his form up a notch since sent over fences so looks the one to give Evan Williams' improver most to do with in-form Catlin appealing as a solid place prospect.

  1. RING THE MOON
  2. DON HERBAGER (FR)
  3. CATLIN
