Fair winning handicapper on Flat who got back on track back with Micky Hammond when runner-up in Newcastle jumpers bumper last month. Unreliable type, though.

In the frame all three runs over hurdles before fair showing fair winning form at 2m on Flat this autumn. Back hurdling now after a break and well worth considering off a good mark.

Mark has come down and more encouraging signs when third in a pair of handicaps around 2m to end 2020. Worth a go at this sort of trip and blinkers replace usual cheekpieces.

Lost his way for Chris Grant in 2019 but not disgraced both runs for new yard this term, fourth of 9 in 2m4f handicap at Southwell in November. Since had wind op and visor back on for return.

2-2 in points but lightly raced and has offered little promise under Rules so far, remote fourth of 7 in novice at Carlisle (17f) 79 days ago. Makes handicap bow after wind op with plenty to prove.

Took advantage of reduced mark when making a winning start for this yard in 2m Sedgefield handicap but only fair third over 2m here last time. This longer trip should suit so not dismissed, though.

Has hinted at promise but (11/1) failed to build on it when only ninth on handicap bow over C&D 25 days ago. Needs to step forward now.

Not at her best in 5 starts so far this season, pulled up in handicap hurdle at Wetherby (19.7f, 28/1) 13 days ago. Hard to fancy from 3 lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts

Mr Chua (6/4), Lleyton (13/2), Sincerely Resdev (15/2), Finisher (15/2), Silkstone (17/2), Tumbling Dice (10/1), Leading Knight (11/1), Blunder Buss (11/1), Bird On The Wire (28/1), Getaway Bay (50/1), On We Go (66/1), Someone You Love (66/1), Raise Your Hand (100/1)

Verdict

MR CHUA looks the way to go given he made the frame in all his three starts over hurdles and returns now on an attractive mark having shown fair winning form on the level last autumn. Finisher has been hit with a 7 lb rise for his breakthrough Doncaster success but will benefit from this longer trip so is sure to go well, while Silkstone is another worth considering now upped in distance too.
