11/2

C&D winner in December who wasn't disgraced when fifth of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 10 days ago given tardy start. Can give another good account.

Form: 513-555

(5)

North Wind¹²

Age: 5| Weight: 8-11| J: Connor Beasley| T: T D Barron| OR: 79

4/1

Only one win from 23 runs, but he posted good second of 5 to Kind Review in handicap (9/2) over C&D 12 days ago, caught further back than ideal. Needs considering.

Form: 2266-82

15/8

C&D winner earlier in month before good second of 7 in handicap here (6f) 7 days ago. Can race off 2 lb lower mark so merits serious consideration.

(4)

Secret Venture^b1⁸¹

Age: 5| Weight: 8-9| J: Shane Gray| T: K A Ryan| OR: 77| D

18/1

Winless since his debut and (cheekpieces on) only tenth of 12 in 6f handicap here 81 days ago. Blinkered now with serious questions to answer.

Form: 320/900-

(3)

Be Proud¹²

Age: 5| Weight: 8-7| J: J P Sullivan| T: J S Goldie| OR: 75| CD

9/2

4-time C&D winner, latest in January, who arrives on back of good third of 5 to Kind Review in handicap here (9/4) 12 days ago, left poorly placed. Not taken lightly off same mark.

Form: 33-U143

Forecasts

Kind Review (15/8), North Wind (4/1), Be Proud (9/2), Lomu (11/2), Watchable (10/1), Prince of Rome (16/1), Duke Of Firenze (16/1), Secret Venture (18/1)

A tight-knit sprint in which KIND REVIEW is taken to continue his fine form and notch a fourth course win. Be Proud is another always to be respected here so looks set to chase home Tracy Waggott's 5-y-o once more with North Wind not taken lightly either despite his poor strike rate.
