Impressed with winning hurdling bow at Newbury in December 2018. However, largely disappointing thereafter and hopes pinned on switch to fences sparking him back to life on debut for new yard.

Fairly useful winning hurdler (2-5 in that sphere) and similar form over fences. Not beaten far when fourth of 14 in Newcastle jumpers bumper last time, but looks vulnerable back in this sphere.

Forecasts

Eclair D'Ainay (2/1), Elvis Mail (11/4), Thebannerkingrebel (5/1), Baron De Midleton (11/2), Heartbreak Kid (11/2), Rathhill (25/1)

Verdict

HEARTBREAK KID couldn't keep tabs on Cheddleton when making his chase debut at Carlisle, but there's no disgrace in that and he wasn't overly knocked about. There should be better to come from this 6-y-o now handicapping and he gets the nod ahead of Eclair d'Ainay and Thebannerkingrebel.
