Useful bumper winner who got his career firmly back on track fitted with a tongue tie when running out a convincing winner of a 2½m Ayr novice hurdle last month. More to come now.

Fight Club gelding. Dam (b80) made frame all 3 starts in bumpers. Watching brief advised on debut.

55,000 buy after winning sole start in Irish points in November. Yard struggling for consistency this season, but this newcomer still requires a market check. Wears tongue strap.

Promise on the first of 2 starts in bumpers in spring 2019 but off for 22 months ahead of this switch to hurdles so has presumably had a few issues.

Good pedigree. Could only manage eighth in a Chepstow bumper in November but went with much more encouragement when third on 2m course hurdle debut 3 weeks later. Longer trip now should suit.

Little impact in Irish points and well held in Exeter maiden on Rules debut. Looks more one for the longer term.

French recruit who was run to a fair level when third in 19.5f maidens at Chepstow on his last 2 starts. Ought to be in the shake-up but more needed to get off the mark.

No show in 2 maiden hurdles in Ireland last winter but did win a point there in October. Likely best watched back hurdling for his new yard with a tongue tie added.

Won sole start in Irish points and was bought for €155,000 after. Needed the experience starting out under Rules in an Exeter maiden hurdle (17f, heavy) but still shaped well and is sure to improve.

Modest form in bumpers and remote fourth on Bangor hurdle debut 21 days ago. Open to progress but likely she's more one for handicaps in a few starts time.

Forecasts

Champagnesuperover (10/11), Franco D'Aunou (5/2), Red Lion Lad (6/1), Aki Bomaye (10/1), Anax (11/1), Blueberg (20/1), Ask The Lady (33/1), Saddlers Quest (100/1), Kingston King (125/1), Foillmore (150/1), Paddy's Return (200/1), Aiken Drum (200/1), Salopian Boy (200/1)

Verdict

CHAMPAGNESUPEROVER was a different proposition at Ayr after wind surgery and is taken to make light of a penalty, most likely at the expense of Red Lion Lad who showed promise at Exeter. Blueberg looks best of the rest unless the market speaks in the favour of Colin Tizzard point recruit Aki Bomaye.
