Easy winner of a Fontwell bumper on Rules debut in October. Encouraging third of 13 on subsequent hurdles bow at Hereford (19.7f) and he's open to improvement.
Placed in AW jumpers' bumper 3 weeks ago but a lot more needed to make an impact back over hurdles.
Maiden Irish pointer who made a pleasing start when third in a Newbury bumper in November, but ran below that level under more testing conditions at Bangor a month later. Hurdles debut.
Could hardly have shown any less when pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Ayr on debut 46 days ago, tailing off long way out.
Has displayed clear ability in a bumper/both starts over hurdles but is probably more one for handicaps in due course.
Showed more encouragement than he'd offered in a bumper a year earlier when fourth of 8 in a novice over C&D 31 days ago. That form unlikely to prove solid but he should do better in time.
Useful chaser in France who shaped as if better for the run back hurdling for new yard at Ffos Las in November, but it's possible he'll be seen to better effect when back over the larger obstacles.
Black Sam Bellamy gelding who shaped well sole outing in bumper and has gone well in a couple of starts over hurdles, second of 13 in Hereford novice (19.7f, soft) 65 days ago. May do better still.
Plenty to like about his exploits in bumpers, off mark at Hereford in March. Shaped as if needing the run for fitness/experience when fourth on Ascot hurdling bow and will surely improve. Tongue tied.
Well held in a maiden hurdle in Ireland in 2019 but subsequently won a point and he showed a bit when well-held third back hurdling for new yard last month.
€30,000 3-y-o, Flemensfirth gelding. Brother to useful bumper winner Letsbeclearaboutit. Off mark in Irish points at second attempt last time (Nov 1). Well worth a look in the betting.
Irish point winner who faded as if needing the run 13 months on in Carlisle bumper. Given a considerate ride on hurdles debut a fortnight later. Type to do better at some point.

The Edgar Wallace (2/1), Sam Barton (3/1), Up For Parol (3/1), Will Carver (4/1), Bumpy Johnson (9/2), Road Senam (11/1), Kildimo (16/1), Norvics Reflection (25/1), Kennack Bay (33/1), Folks On The Hill (40/1), Time Leader (50/1), Carole's Templer (125/1), Style It Out (150/1), Famous Last Word (150/1), Farmer Mike (300/1)
An intriguing maiden hurdle with the tentative vote going to SAM BARTON, who boasts some tidy form, particularly his hurdling debut effort when fifth in a strong race at Chepstow. Will Carver is an interesting recruit from the Irish pointing field having joined a top yard, while The Edgar Wallace and Bumpy Johnson are others with decent claims.
- SAM BARTON
- WILL CARVER (IRE)
- THE EDGAR WALLACE (IRE)
