Skye Chief^p1¹⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 12-0| J: Callum Bewley| T: S Waugh| OR: 102

33/1

Fair form at best and encouragement to glean from his handicap chase debut fourth over C&D in early 2019. However, no encouragement after 23 months off in jumpers bumper 2 weeks ago. Headgear on.

Form: 52764/8

Charmix^p²⁴

Age: 11| Weight: 12-0| J: P W Wadge⁽¹⁰⁾| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 102

25/1

On a long losing run and has offered little in 4 starts this season.

Form: 45-FP66

Izzy's Champion^t³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: S Mulqueen⁽³⁾| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 100| CD

13/2

Winner of this race 12 months ago off 4 lb lower and latest third here (3m) was his best effort of the season, so definite claims.

Form: 12-0463

Roxboro Road^v1⁵³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-11| J: Alain Cawley| T: B Haslam| OR: 99| D

18/1

Fair jumper in Ireland but without any form for current yard and now tried in a visor.

Form: F4P6-5P

Sword Of Fate¹⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-8| J: Grant Cockburn⁽³⁾| T: L Kerr| OR: 96

20/1

Won only start in bumpers and ended losing run in handicap chase at Cartmel in August. Well held next 3 starts, though.

Form: 3-91936

Graystown^p³¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-5| J: Sam Coltherd⁽³⁾| T: W Coltherd| OR: 93| D

20/1

Eased in the weights and capitalised with back-to-back Hexham handicaps, dead-heating for the latest of them. Not so good both starts since, however.

Form: 4311P4

Not The Chablis^p⁴⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: B S Hughes| T: N W Alexander| OR: 93| CD

7/4

Scored over hurdles at this track a year ago and left inauspicious chasing debut behind when second in handicap at this course 46 days ago. Definite player with a reproduction of that form.

Form: 41P-832

King Golan^b²⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 11-0| J: Alison Clarke⁽⁷⁾| T: Kenny Johnson| OR: 88

16/1

Arrives on a long losing run but recorded a creditable third in 19f handicap chase (9/1) at Market Rasen. Shaped as if amiss when well backed next time, though. Blinkers back on.

Form: 08P23P

Begoodtoyourself^p⁵⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Harry Reed⁽³⁾| T: C N Kellett| OR: 88

8/1

Point winner who has shown more encouragement since switched to chasing under Rules. Creditable third at Leicester in November but tended to jump left, so right-handed track could suit better.

Form: P4-6F93

Shallow Run^b,t⁴⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: Sean Quinlan| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 87

25/1

Best effort yet under Rules when second in first-time cheekpieces on Sedgefield handicap debut but well held both starts since, including when remote third on chase bow.

Form: 38-02P3

Fourth Of July^t²⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: Ryan Mania| T: R M Smith| OR: 85

13/2

Maiden hurdler who took to chasing at the first attempt when runner-up at Catterick 25 days, keeping on from a long way back. Player if he can build on that.

Form: 9-56682

Harleys Max⁶¹⁸

Age: 12| Weight: 10-4| J: Nathan Moscrop⁽³⁾| T: S Corbett| OR: 78| CD

100/1

Modest chaser. Lightly raced and little form since 2016/17.

Form: 12F76/8-

Forecasts

Not The Chablis (7/4), Fourth Of July (13/2), Izzy's Champion (13/2), Book Of Invasions (15/2), Begoodtoyourself (8/1), King Golan (16/1), Roxboro Road (18/1), Graystown (20/1), Sword Of Fate (20/1), Shallow Run (25/1), Charmix (25/1), Skye Chief (33/1), Harleys Max (100/1)

NOT THE CHABLIS stepped up markedly on his chase debut when runner-up here last month and should go well again off the same mark. Begoodtoyourself has improved since switched to fences and this right-handed track should suit, while last year's winner Izzy's Champion arrives on the back of a good run here.
