Ex-French hurdler who was an easy winner at Stratford on return/chase debut. Creditable third under a penalty at Chepstow and resumed winning ways/progress at Ascot since. Back up in trip.

Useful hurdler at best and also won 3-runner novice chase in July 2019. Heavy defeats both starts this season raises questions, however.

Useful winning chaser but looked rusty and/or reluctant after 10 months off (has raced lazily before) at Ffos Las. Much better when second at Newcastle since but remains a risky proposition.

Very capable performer when on-song but ran poorly on final start for Joseph Patrick O'Brien and not much encouragement both starts for this yard.

Fairly useful winning hurdler/chaser at his best who took a step back in the right direction last 2 starts but others remain better handicapped.

Fairly useful maiden over hurdles and showed much improved form on his third start over fences when just denied at Chepstow 7 weeks ago. Pulled clear of the third that day so 7 lb rise is justified.

Fairly useful winning chaser in 2018 who shaped as if retaining ability after 20 months off at Market Rasen. Confirmed that impression when winning at Doncaster in February but off again since.

Fairly useful winning hurdler/chaser who was a respectable fourth in 17f handicap chase at Exeter on return. Disappointed at Hereford next time, however.

Useful hurdler for Dan Skelton in 2018. Failed to fire in 3 chase starts for that yard last year and no encouragement in 2 outings for Nicky Richards and debut for this stable.

Forecasts

Enzo D'Airy (5/2), Faustinovick (11/4), Catamaran Du Seuil (13/2), Golden Whisky (7/1), The Dubai Way (15/2), Ready And Able (10/1), Punches Cross (18/1), Ramonex (22/1), Braqueur D'Or (25/1), Notnow Seamus (80/1)

Verdict

FAUSTINOVICK finally went a long way to confirming the promise of his early runs when just denied at Chepstow, looking a completely different model to on his previous outing there just 2 weeks earlier, and his revised mark looks on the lenient side. Enzo d'Airy is progressive and was a good winner at Ascot last time, so rates the main threat ahead of Ramonex, who's returning from another absence.

  1. FAUSTINOVICK
  2. ENZO D'AIRY (FR)
  3. RAMONEX (GER)
