Subliminal^p¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 9-8| J: L Morris| T: S Dow| OR: 68| CD

7/4

Notched a fifth C&D win when edging out The Jean Genie at the start of the month. Just as good when narrowly denied back here since and further 2 lb rise unlikely to prevent another bold show.

Form: 5231-12

(6)

Filles De Fleur⁴³

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: T P Queally| T: G & J Moore| OR: 67

4/1

Thirteen runs since last win in 2019. Creditable close second of 9 in C&D handicap 6 weeks ago. Only 1 lb higher so ought to be bang there if in similar form.

Fume²¹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: Tom Marquand| T: A W Carroll| OR: 67| C

16/1

Course winner (2m) in July. 66/1, first run since leaving Gary Moore when last of 11 over 7f here 21 days ago. Step back up in trip a plus but perhaps best watched unless betting vibes strong.

Sea Tide^p¹³⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 8-11| J: Callum Hutchinson⁽⁷⁾| T: Mrs L J Mongan| OR: 57

66/1

Twelve runs since last win in 2017. Well held on both starts last year and can only really be watched back from another 134 days off.

11/1

Won over 1m at Southwell in December. Respectable fourth there on his last 2 starts but most of his best recent AW efforts have come on that fibresand surface.

Forecasts

The Jean Genie (6/4), Subliminal (7/4), Filles De Fleur (4/1), Exmoor Beast (7/1), Stormy Night (7/1), Goodwood Showman (10/1), Compass Point (11/1), Fume (16/1), Sea Tide (66/1)

In a tight affair a narrow vote goes the way of FILLES DE FLEUR who is only 1 lb higher than when going close over C&D last time. Subliminal has had a good spell here of late and heads the dangers along with The Jean Genie and Exmoor Beast, who should benefit from the drop back to 1¼m.
